Welcome to the FBU Region 5 homepage

My Name is Garry Harney and I have been appointed as the FBU Region 5 Learning Project Coordinator.

Region five is the North West of England and is made up by Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Services.

My role is to Promote Life Long Learning throughout the North West.

Through our partnerships, with The Fire and Rescue Services Management and Education Providers, we will offer to all Fire Service employees and their families, education and learning courses to help improve there “Skills for Life”.

The FBU want to encourage its members to take up these opportunities.

The Union Learning Rep will be on hand locally to provide Support and Guidance. They will also provide confidential advice.
